Jetzt ist es das erste Mal, das ich mich wirklich auf die neue Ubuntu-Version freue, seit ich Ubuntu benutze. Endlich hält libimobiledevice als feste Bestandteil Einzug. "libimobiledevice" ist eine Software Bibliothek, mit der iPhones und auch der iPod-Touch gezielt angesteuert werden können (und das ohne iTunes).
Since I use Ubuntu, thats the first time I'm very glad to the new Ubuntu version. New libimobiledevice is available as a part of the installation. "libimobiledevice" is a software library to conect to iPhones and iPod-Touchs without iTunes.

bash (shell) restartafter you changed someting in .bashrc or .bash_aliases then you can easily reload the bash (shell) with following comand: . ~/.bashrc
. ~/.bash_aliases Thats all & have fun! |

Good morning to everybody in the world, especially to my friends. I like to show my latest Ubuntu desktop. After more than 3 weeks I think it's finally. May be I'll change the color in the graphs (bottom right) and also the icons for the cairo-dock (bottom left). May be!  I found a new interessting browser also. As I was looking for implement the Safari in my ubuntu, I found the "arora" browser. The first what I tried was to install it via apt-get, altought the project webside don't talk about a deb package it was succesfully installed. Manchmal ist es notwendig den Samba Dienst neu zu starten. Am schnellsten geht das auf der Commando-Zeile mit folgenden Befehlen: - /etc/init.d/samba start #Start
- /etc/init.d/samab stop #Stop
- /etc/init.d/samba restart #Restart
Normalerweise reicht also ein simpler restart. ciaoJörg
sometime it's necessary to restart samba. The fastest way is to do it via terminal, therefor use following commands: - /etc/init.d/samba start #Start
- /etc/init.d/samab stop #Stop
- /etc/init.d/samba restart #Restart
Normally its enough to use the restart command. ciao Joerg |

Wer mit Firefox unter Ubuntu unterwegs ist, wird wahrscheinlich bemängeln, das keinerlei deutschsprachige Suchmaschinen vorinstalliert sind. Die vorhanden lassen sich leider nicht mehr so einfach wie in FF2.x anpassen. Dafür gibt es unter  Mycroft ein schöne Liste mit allerlei Suchmaschinen. Über den folgenden Link, kann man gezielt nach deutschen Anbietern suchen: Liste. |
